Your sessions with a psychologist are considered confidential, which means they are protected by law. I will not disclose information about you without your formal written consent. There are situations, however, in which I am required by law to break confidentiality. These include:

  • if I suspect you are in danger of harming yourself or another person or are unable to care for yourself
  • if I suspect abuse or neglect of a child, older adult (65 or older), or dependent adult
  • if I am court ordered to release information as part of a legal proceeding, or as otherwise required by law

Please call to discuss my current fees. I accept payment by cash, check, or credit card. Payment is usually made at the end of each session.

If your insurance company allows you to be treated by an out-of-network provider, you may choose to submit receipts for reimbursement for your psychotherapy. I would recommend that you contact your insurance carrier prior to your first therapy session to ask about your coverage. I suggest you ask about the following:

  • your coverage for psychotherapy
  • your coverage for out-of-network providers
  • limitations on the number of visits per calendar year
  • your deductible

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you can leave me a message on my voicemail. I have a 24 hr cancellation policy, so you will be billed for missed appointments that are not cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time.
